Parm Group’s Success in the Manufacturing Growth Programme

Parm Group, a leading manufacturer of sustainable drainage pipes, is thrilled to announce its remarkable success in the Manufacturing Growth Programme (MGP). The MGP, delivered by Oxford Innovate, has granted Parm Group invaluable funding towards product research, further solidifying the company’s commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.

The MGP is an esteemed initiative aimed at supporting manufacturers in their growth and development journey. Parm Group’s application to the programme was met with enthusiasm, showcasing the company’s dedication to staying at the forefront of the industry and advancing its product offerings.

The grant, funded by the prestigious University of Sheffield, will facilitate research into the oil retention properties of Parm Group’s wrapped drainage products. Through comprehensive laboratory tests, the company seeks to analyze the products’ ability to retain oil-based compounds commonly found in surface water run-off from both urban and rural areas.

Initial findings have been promising, revealing that Parm Group’s PP450 and PP900 fibres have the capacity to retain and dilute approximately 10 litres per m2 of light Castrol motor oil. This breakthrough discovery has far-reaching implications, as implementing these drainage systems can potentially help mitigate oil pollution in watercourses, contributing to a greener and more sustainable environment.

Parm Group’s dedication to sustainable solutions and environmental care is further exemplified through this research initiative. By utilizing recycled materials in its drainage pipes and pursuing advancements in oil retention, the company continues to uphold its commitment to preserving natural resources and minimizing its ecological footprint.

“This achievement is a testament to the hard work and innovation of our team at Parm Group. We are proud to be part of the Manufacturing Growth Programme and look forward to further enhancing our drainage products for a more eco-friendly future,” expressed the CEO of Parm Group.

The success in the Manufacturing Growth Programme comes at an opportune time as Parm Group prepares to launch its brand-new website, marking another milestone in the company’s growth journey.
